Isleta Casino Debuts World’s First Hybrid Digital Roulette Table

The Isleta Resort & Casino in Albuquerque recently unveiled a brand new hybrid roulette table that was designed by Interblock Gaming. This new hybrid roulette table is the first digital roulette table of its kind in the market, which marks a milestone for the little-known Isleta Resort casino.

The latest invention from Interblock is proof that out-of-the-box thinking does not have to be complex. In Interblock’s case, the objective was to enhance the roulette wheel by adding a second one. This new hybrid game from Interblock features 2 live, interlinked color-coded roulette wheels, which are the first of their kind in the world.

This new hybrid roulette table also comes with 10 gaming terminals, as well as an attractive 98-inch HD Stadium Tower information board that is visible from any part of the Isleta gaming floor. With the first hybrid digital roulette table, punters can spin more than 120 spins every hour, which offers punters a fast-paced environment.

Interblock has made a name for itself by creating innovative electronic table games. Over the last 25 years, Interblock has worked tirelessly to advance the technology that is utilized for electronic table games in a way that adds value to the casino environment in modern times

As one of the only premium casino gaming brands in the electronic table games market has been captivating millions for decades. However, the market has had to work tremendously hard to remain relevant in the digital age. Interblock’s games are designed to convey elegance and sophistication with all its casino games combining entertainment and interactivity to create a one-of-a-kind betting experience for novice and professional gamblers alike.

The Isleta Resort & Casino is home to many firsts since it opened its doors to punters in 1986. The casino is controlled by the Pueblo of Isleta community and is situated on Interstate 25 at Highway 47. Since the casino is only situated seven 7 miles south of downtown Albuquerque, the casino often attracts visitors from all over the city.

The gaming floor at the Isleta Resort & Casino is massive standing at 100,000 square feet. However, the entire complex is much larger at 300,000 square feet. The casino, which has been a non-smoking casino since its debut, features 1,800 slot machines, as well as 24 table games with dealers. While the variety of gaming choices on offer could certainly improve, the gaming floor does cover the majority of the preferred casino games.

Aside from its gaming floor, the Isleta Resort & Casino also has guest rooms and suites that offer beautiful views of the surrounding Rio Grande Bosque and its arid, yet stunning, environment. The casino hotel also boasts additional amenities such as a spa and a pool. Its campground complete with an RV Park is also one of its largest attractions.

In 2010, the casino underwent a change when it rebranded to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino franchise. However, after just 3 years of being a franchisee, the casino reverted to its original name. As mentioned above, the casino hotel is a home of many firsts including the first casino in the area to include a food court in New Mexico, as well as the first Fatburger franchise location in the state.

In 2017, the casino hotel underwent a renovation worth approximately $40 million. This renovation process saw the expansion and redesign of the brand-new casino, as well as a new concert venue. This new remodel has greatly helped the Isleta Resort & Casino stand out among other casinos in the state.

Sports betting in New Mexico is also growing

The casino hotel celebrated yet another milestone in 2019 when it introduced its first retail sportsbook in the state, serviced by USBookmaking. The sportsbook at Isleta allows punters to place sports wagers on multiple teams and events across the many leagues. Punters can place their wagers through the in-person wagering counters, as well as the self-service kiosks situated all over the casino.

In March this year, Isleta Resort, Elys Game Technology, and its subsidiary USBookmaking extended their sports betting service agreement. As a result of this extension, USBookmaking will keep providing sports betting services to the sportsbook in Isleta. This will allow the casino hotel to keep providing high-quality sportsbook services to the casinos, as well as its patrons.

Sports betting has been allowed in New Mexico since 2018. However, unlike many other states that allow online sports betting, New Mexico’s market is retail only. This means that if punters want to wager on their favorite sports teams, they have to physically visit the retail sportsbook.

Although the benefits of online sports betting in other states have been evident, there are still no timelines as to when or whether the state of New Mexico intends to amend its sports betting bill. If the success of other states’ legal online betting markets is anything to go by, it would be wise for New Mexico to legalize iGaming as soon as possible.

Even though New Mexico doesn’t house any headquarters of any major professional sports teams, the market is still rife with sports betting support. College athletics is also extremely popular in New Mexico, as is support for professional and college sports teams located in Texas, Arizona, as well as Colorado.

Despite the lack of an iGaming market, New Mexico still boasts one of the most active retail sports betting markets in the country.  Apart from the Isleta Casino, there are an additional 3 retail casinos scattered throughout the expansive state. As the 5th largest betting market in the country, the market is diverse as the majority of retail sports betting is currently controlled by tribal lands.

Final Thoughts

Although mobile sports betting is yet to be legalized in New Mexico, the retail betting market is doing a great job of keeping punters entertained. At present, the state only has 4 retail gambling facilities namely the Isleta Casino in Albuquerque, Hilton Buffalo Thunder in Sante Fe, Inn of the Mountain Gods located in Mescalero, and the Santa Ana Star Casino in Santa Ana Pueblo.
